I've been quilting/sewing since about 2003 when I started working at Hobby Lobby as a Fabric Manager. I absolutely loved seeing the projects customers brought in and decided I wanted to try. I called a family member for help in learning the basics. We went to Walmart to purchase a sewing machine, pattern, and fabric. She spent two hours showing me how to read a pattern and work my machine. It has been nonstop since then. After getting married, my husband and I moved to NC where we had two children. I became a stay at home mom until 2017 when I reentered the workforce at Joann Fabrics until they closed their doors. I taught 3rd-6th graders sewing at my church until the COVID pandemic hit. I am currently working at a local quilt shop where I also teach a few classes. I love sharing my knowledge and helping others learn new techniques and skills.
